The EcoBalanza Essential Collection is made with 100% non-toxic materials, a mission-based investment in sustainability, and a deep commitment to quality heritage craftsmanship. This more affordable collection offers individually-crafted standardized models with a range of back, leg and fabric options. They are made with the same materials and standards of craftsmanship as every EcoBalanza piece, but standardized to simplify the handcrafting process for our team, and only upholstered once to save on materials and labor. Standard Seat dimensions are 22” D x 17.5” H. (To adjust these dimensions, please inquire.)
Your choice of Soft, Medium, Medium Firm, or Firm latex to fine-tune your Seat Cushions is included in the cost. Standard Seat Cushions are handcrafted with Medium density GOLS organic latex core handstitched inside two layers of GOTS certified organic Merino wool, fully encased in GOTS certified organic cotton twill, and finished with a zippered slipcover in your fabric of choice.
Your choice of High (18”, standard) or Low (14”) Back Pillows is included in the cost. Standard Back Pillows are handcrafted with an envelope of Merino wool stuffed with hand-fluffed kapok, encased in GOTS certified organic cotton twill, and finished with a zippered Slipcover in your fabric of choice.
Finish your Esssential piece in your choice of GOTS-certified Winthrop and Winthrop Too fabrics or Oeko-Tex Standard 100 certified Sequoia fabric from Two Sisters Ecotextiles.
Standard stitch is Simple. Top Stitch or Piping (welt) are available for additional cost.
Your choice of 7” H Squared or Tapered and Outset or Inset Wood Legs is included in the cost. Custom wood or metal Leg options are available for additional cost.

HOW TO ORDER YOUR ESSENTIAL PIECES

To place your Essential order:

Call or email us regarding what you would like (along with your physical address for a shipping/delivery quote).
We’ll create a Quote Summary and review details and shipping/delivery options with you.
Place your order with a 50% deposit on the total (typically handled over the phone) and we’ll enter it into our production queue.
We’ll reach out to take care of the balance as your pieces are being finished, then we’ll arrange to send your piece home to you!

Your Essential pieces will be handcrafted by our team of master artisans entirely in our Seattle Studio. Typically, production of Essential pieces is 9 to 12 weeks, depending on the number of pieces you've ordered and the length of the queue. All new orders typically spend two to six weeks moving through the queue before we begin crafting. PLEASE NOTE: If you are unsure of your finishing fabric and/or leg preferences, you are welcome to place your order with those as TBD, then use those first two weeks or so considering options without pushing out the day your pieces are complete. (If the fabric you choose has a different cost than what you initially ordered, we can easily adjust the balance at the end.)
